We Are Not Saints Because We Do Not Want To Be

We have to be always conscious that the worst enemy is ourselves - our decision will draw us closer to God or away from Him, leading ourselves to one fall deeper than the other, without direction ... 

We should not be afraid to be merciful. We should not be afraid to defeat our own pride ...

GOD NEVER REJECTS A CONTRITE HEART...

We need to exercise mercy through our actions, through our words, through our prayers and through our thoughts --- We can do them by performing the Spiritual and Corporal works of Mercy:

SPIRITUAL WORKS OF MERCY:
To instruct the ignorant.
To counsel the doubtful.
To admonish the sinners.
To bear patiently those who wrong us.
To forgive offenses .
To comfort the afflicted.
To pray for the living and the dead.

 

 

CORPORAL WORKS OF MERCY:
To feed the hungry.
To give water to the thirsty.
To clothe the naked.
To shelter the homeless.
To visit the sick.
To visit the imprisoned, or ransom the captive.
