Mt 10:26-33 --- Whom to Fear - Tibżgħux minn dawk li joqtlu lill-ġisem.

IN YEAR A - SUNDAY GOSPEL OF WEEK 12 IN ORDINARY TIME.
Evanġelju
Tibżgħux minn dawk li joqtlu lill-ġisem.
Mt 10, 26-33

Qari mill-Evanġelju skont San Mattew

F’dak iż-żmien, Ġesù qal lill-Appostli tiegħu: [Mt:10:26] “La tibżgħux mill-bnedmin. Għax xejn ma hu mgħotti li ma jinkixifx, u xejn ma hu moħbi li ma jsirx magħruf. [Mt:10:27] Dak li jien ngħidilkom fid-dlam għiduh fid-dawl, u dak li ngħidilkom f'widnejkom xandruh minn fuq il-bjut. [Mt:10:28] U tibżgħux minn dawk li joqtlu l-ġisem bla ma jistgħu joqtlu r-ruħ; imma aktar ibżgħu minn dak li jista' jeqred kemm ir-ruħ u kemm il-ġisem fl-infern.

[Mt:10:29] Żewġ għasafar tal-bejt m'hux b'ħabba jinbiegħu? U b'danakollu anqas wieħed minnhom ma jaqa' fl-art mingħajr ir-rieda ta' missierkom. [Mt:10:30] Intom imbagħad sa x-xagħar ta' raskom kollu hu magħdud. [Mt:10:31] Mela xejn la tibżgħu; intom aqwa minn ħafna għasafar tal-bejt. [Mt:10:32] "Kull min jistqarr quddiem il-bnedmin li hu miegħi, jien ukoll nistqarr li jiena miegħu quddiem Missieri li hu fis-smewwiet. [Mt:10:33] Iżda min jiċħad lili quddiem il-bnedmin, jien ukoll niċħad lilu quddiem Missieri li hu fis-smewwiet.

Pope: still today Christians face trials and persecutions - 25/06/2017
http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2017/06/25/pope_still_today_christians_face_trials_and_persecutions/1321324
Speaking to the faithful gathered in St. Peter’s Square for the Angelus prayer, the Pope reflected on the liturgical reading of the day in which Jesus said to his disciples “Fear no one” but instructed them and prepared them to face the trials and persecutions the would suffer.
“Jesus’ mission, he said, did not guarantee the disciples success, nor did it shield them from failure or suffering.”
Likewise, the Pope said, Christians must consider the possibility of rejection and persecution: “this is a bit scary, but it is the truth.”
In fact, he explained, the disciple is called to conform his life to Christ, who was persecuted, rejected and abandoned to die on the cross.
“There is no Christian mission in the name of tranquility, the Pope said, difficulties and tribulations are part and package of evangelization” he said.
The Pope also explained that challenges are occasions in which “to verify the authenticity of our faith and of our relationship with Jesus” always within the knowledge that “God does not abandon his children during the storm”.
"In the difficulties of Christian witness in the world, we are never forgotten, but always assisted by the Father's thoughtful solicitude" he said.
Pope Francis also pointed out that even in our day persecution against Christians still exists.
“Let us pray for our brothers and sisters who are persecuted and praise the Lord because, in spite of this, they continue to witness their faith with courage and fidelity” he said.

Another test of faith - Francis continued - may even be the absence of hostility and tribulation.
"In addition to being ‘sheep in the midst of wolves’, the Lord also sends us forth as sentinels in the midst of people who do not want to be awakened from a worldly numbness, who ignore the truth of the Gospel message and build their own ephemeral truth" he said.
Hence, Pope Francis concluded, always heed Jesus’ encouragement not to fear those who mock and abuse, or those who ignore or appear to honor the Gospel but in reality go against it.
"Jesus does not leave us alone because we are precious to Him" he said.
After the recitation of the Angelus prayer, Pope Francis prayed for the victims of a landslide in southwestern China, he greeted the Lithuanian people who on Sunday celebrate the Blessed Theofilius Matulonius – the first Soviet-era Blessed of the nation, and he remembered the faithful of the Greek-Catholic Ukrainian Church who mark the 150th anniversary of the canonization of St. Josaphat.

INFERIORITY COMPLEX ---&--- Bullying Conduct Disorder

Exodus 3:11 --- But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and free the Israelites from Egypt?”

Exodus 4:10 --- But Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor even now that you have spoken to your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”

Exodus 4:13 --- But he said, “O my Lord, please send someone else.”

Book of Jonah - 4 short chapters (7:25 minutes audio)

Jeremiah 1:6-7 --- Then I said, “Ah, Lord God! Truly I do not know how to speak, for I am only a boy.”  But the Lord said to me,
“Do not say, ‘I am only a boy’;
for you shall go to all to whom I send you,
and you shall speak whatever I command you.

Moses, Jonah and Jeremiah hesitated to God before accepting His mission.  They felt not worthy for such a commitment. These three whom God chose as prophets protested when He asked them to undertake His mission

They did not believe at first that God would choose them - Moses mentioned his inability to speak; Jonah even ran away and Jeremiah said he was too young - apparently all three fearing failure, before becoming conscious of God's providence, wisdom and courage that built them to trust totally in Him and accept His mission !

We, and even the nations throughout the world, read, adore and are inspired from the words of Moses, Jonah, and Jeremiah in the Bible. These prophets tried to make the world good and righteous.  Their teachings are alive today.

Apertura convegno ecclesiale diocesi Roma - 19.06.2017

… after all, we are clay – God is the potter. He moulds us in a unique way for our own good and for those in our life, in every situation – in whatever shape or colour: He just uses clay to serve Him … and breathes Eternity in us to spread His Word !

We look at our mould in the mirror and others’ moulds in our life … BUT we tend to concentrate and judge more on the clay – whether a genius, an intellectual, an artist, a common person, a simple person, a difficult person, a poor person, an ugly person, a rejected person, a sinner … Only by God's Grace and our consent that we keep on being moulded in His infinite love and mercy till our earthly death !

He is always with us, ready to give us a HELPING hand ! Let us let Him do the miracles and wonders in our life of trials, by leaning on His shoulder in awesome faith ... and patience - while keeping our sleeves rolled up and doing our part in the mean time !

Pope reveals the medicine to change people's hearts - Published on Jun 14, 2017

http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2017/06/14/pope_at_audience_gods_unconditional_love_gives_hope/1318909

Pope Francis began his reflection by noting that none of us can live without love. Yet many people today, he went on, are anguished or empty inside because they don’t believe they are beautiful or important enough to be loved by others.
Imagine a world where everyone is seeking attention and no-one is prepared to give love in a gratuitous way, he said. Behind so much narcissistic behaviour and incomprehensible actions we discover feelings of solitude and abandonment.
When adolescents feel unloved, the pope continued, they may turn to violence, hatred or delinquent behaviour. There is no such thing as bad children or evil adolescents, he said, but there are unhappy people. When we look and smile freely at someone who is sad, he said, we open their hearts and offer them a way out of their unhappiness.
Pope Francis said that God loves us with an unconditional love, not because we deserve it, but rather because he himself is love. Like the father of the prodigal son, he said, God has compassion for us even when we are far away from him. He also recalled the many mothers he met, back in Buenos Aires, who continued to love their sons unconditionally, even when they did wrong and ended up in prison.
It is a time of Resurrection for us all, the pope concluded, because Jesus died to forgive us our sins. It is time to lift up those who are discouraged and to live in the hope of God the Father who loves us for ever, just as we are... May all of us find in God’s embrace the promise of new life and freedom, he said, for in his love is the source of all our hope.

BULLYING IS A CONDUCT DISORDER OR DELINQUENCY.
DEEP DOWN IT REVEALS SENTIMENTS OF:-

- LOW SELF-ESTEEM (BEHIND THE HOSTILITY)

- ENVY

- INSECURITY (LACK OF FRIENDS; FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES, HOMLESSNESS)

 - LACK OF SELF-CONTROL AND SOCIAL SKILLS

- LACK OF COMPASSION AND EMPATHY --- COVERING UP THE FEAR THAT HIS/HER ACADEMIC/SOCIAL LIMITATIONS / OR FAILURE WILL BE MADE KNOWN.

- INFERIORITY ( OR SUPERIORITY WHEN THE BULLY COMES FROM A RICH FAMILY)

- MORE OFTEN FOUND IN FAMILIES WITH LOW SOCIOECONOMIC STATUS

- EAGER FOR ATTENTION - IN SUCH A NEGATIVE WAY
- AN UPBRINGING IN AN ENVIRONMENT OF IRRESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR, AGGRESSIVENESS, EVEN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, BULLYING.

- OFTEN IT IS A RESULT OF A TRAUMATIC BACKGROUND, ABUSE, BROKEN FAMILY

- AN ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEM
- A SYMPTOM OF A DEEPER PHYSIOLOGICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL OR PSYCHIATRIC ISSUE SUCH AS DEPRESSION OR BI-POLAR DISORDER

****************
The victim must never get upset: Keep resilient, emotionally strong and mentally tough.
- SPEAK TO GOD IN YOUR PRAYERS --- HE IS ALWAYS READY TO LISTEN AND LEAD YOU TO ACT PRUDENTLY AND WISELY.

- THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO WERE BORN WITH TWO ARMS TO STRIKE OTHERS

- and there are people who were born with two arms who do not strike back.

WHO IS SUFFERING FROM - ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEM ?
Those who strike others MUST go to Church every day to thank God that they strike those who do not strike back - For it is ONLY by God's Grace that these do not: For the non-strikers believe in God's mysterious ways of teaching HOW BETTER are the GIFTS of humility, even humiliation and mercy.

These people do no want to lose a day without the eagerness to participate in Holy Mass and receive The Holy Trinity, One God in the Consecrated Host: HE IS ALMIGHTY GOD, WHO IS GIVING BREATH TO THE BULLY TO CONVERT AND CORRECT HIS/HER ANTI-SOCIAL CONDUCT DISORDER, BY SEEKING SPIRITUAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP
