JULY: For training in discernment

3 Jul 2025 Let us pray that we may learn ever more to discern, to know how to choose paths of life, and to reject everything that distances us from Christ and the Gospel. (Leo XIV) Holy Spirit, light of our understanding, sweet encouragement in our decisions, grant me the grace to listen attentively to your voice to discern the secret paths of my heart, so as to grasp what is truly important to you and free my heart from its afflictions. ---------------------------------------- I ask you for the grace to learn to pause to become aware of my actions, of the feelings that dwell within me, of the thoughts that invade me, and which, often, I fail to recognize. ---------------------------------------- I wish that my choices lead me to the joy of the Gospel. Even if I must go through moments of doubt and weariness, even if I must struggle, reflect, search, and begin again... Because, in the end, your consolation is the fruit of the right decision. ---------------------------------------- Grant me a better understanding of what moves me, to reject what distances me from Christ, and thus love and serve Him more fully.
