L-iskop ta' dan il-filmat mhuwiex biex inqanqlu dieqa u swied il-qalb iżda biex nerġgħu niftakru min kien il-Fundatur tagħna. Min kien jafu mill-qrib għandu jerġa' jitqanqal mill-pariri u t-tagħlim li kien ħa mis-Superjur. Intant ħuti, ejjew nagħmlu ħilitna sabiex nattendu għall-attivitajiet li torganizza l-Fergħa Ewkaristika biex b'hekk nibqgħu ngħożżu lil Ġesu' Ewkaristija u 'l Ommu Marija fil-qalb tagħna.
Fil-filmat jidhru xeni meta s-Superjur Gorg kien esibit għall-pubbliku għal sitt ijiem sħaħ ġewwa l-kappella tal-Fergħa Ewkaristika fil-Marsa, jidhru xi filmati mill-korteo, il-quddiesa li kienet saritlu fil-Parroċċa tat-Trinita' fil-Marsa li għaliha kienu attendew 56 saċerdot. Wara t-tqarbin jidhru d-diskorsi li kienu għamlulu l-President ta' dak iż-żmien is-Sur Joe Cassar, kif ukoll Fr Christoper Farrugia li kien propju l-aħħar direttur spiritwali ta' Gorg sa qabel ħalla din id-dinja.

OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE - December 12th, 2019 - HOMILY - Pope at Mass: MARY IS WOMAN, MOTHER, MESTIZA - Jesus is the only Redeemer
Pope Francis shares a reflection on Mary’s essence as woman, mother and mestiza on the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrated on Thursday evening in St Peter’s Basilica.
By Sr Bernadette Mary Reis, fsp
As has been his custom since the beginning of his pontificate, Pope Francis celebrates the liturgy in honour of Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was joined by many members of the Latin American community in Rome for the celebration in St Peter’s Basilica on Thursday afternoon. Pope Benedict XVI was the first Pontiff to celebrate this liturgy in 2011 in honour of the bicentenary of independence of the Latin American and Caribbean nations.
Mary’s essence
Pope Francis delivered his homily off the cuff, saying that the liturgy for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and her image displayed on the altar, suggested three adjectives to him. These three adjectives explain Mary’s essence: Woman, mother, mestiza, he said.
Mary as woman
Mary is a woman, the Pope began. She is the woman par excellence most particularly because she is a disciple of her Son, whose message she bears. “It is that simple”, the Pope said. Even though Christians have venerated her under many other loving titles throughout the ages, “nothing else is needed” to describe Mary, he said. Mary is humble and faithful to her teacher, her Son, the only Redeemer.
Mary as mother
Mary never took anything from her Son because she is His mother. “She is our Mother, the Mother of our peoples…the mother of our hearts,” the Pope explained. Not only is she the Mother of the Church, she is also an image of the Church. Therefore, “what can be said of Mary can also be said of the Church which is feminine”, Pope Francis said. The Church cannot be imagined except in this Marian sense. This is essential in understanding the role of women in the Church, the Pope went on. Understanding the role of women only in a functional way is incomplete, he said.
Mary as mestiza
Our Lady wanted to be seen as a “mestiza”, the Pope noted, “not only with Juan Diego. She became a mestizo to show that she is everyone’s mother.” Mary speaks to us just as she spoke with Juan Diego, tenderly, maternally. The Pope concluded his homily noting that Mary appears as a person of mixed race in order to communicate that her Son too is a “mestizo”: that is, He is God, and He is man.

December 1531, Mexico. The Virgin Mary appears to an Indian humble peasant, but nobody believes in him.
On Her request the Indian wraps in his "tilma" some Castilian roses, mysteriously flowered on a bared scree. In front of the Bishop he opens the cap discovering the miracle: the image of the Virgin is impressed upon it. The image is extraordinarily real. The results of analysis are amazing. In the Virgin's eyes the 13 figures who witnessed the miracle are visible. The stars on her cloak are positioned exactly as they were in the miracle's day (12.12.1531). The painting technique used is unknown. The colours keep intact, the cloth is uncorrupted. And that's not all: an extraordinary discovery reveals the Spanish origin (from Extremadura, Spain) of the name of Guadalupe and its incredible connection with the Evangelist Saint Luke.
...and the genuine melody in the figure of the Virgin of Guadalupe

The story of Our Lady of Guadalupe
On December 9, 1531, in Mexico, Our Lady appeared to Juan Diego, a poor humble Aztec Indian who had recently converted to the Catholic faith. She asked him to go to the Bishop and tell him to build a church where she said “I will show and offer all of my love, my compassion, my help and my protection to my people.” Juan Diego did as she asked, but the Bishop asked for a sign that this message was really from Our Lady. Mary granted his request.
On December 12, she showed Juan where the most beautiful Castilian roses were and told him to gather them. It was a miracle that the roses were there and in bloom because there was frost on the ground, and the ground was an infertile place where only cactus and thistles grew. After he gathered them, she helped arrange them in his tilma, or poncho, and told him to show them to the Bishop. When he brought them to the Bishop, the Bishop was amazed at the roses, but was even more amazed at what began to happen to Juan Diego’s tilma. Right before their very eyes, the image of Our Lady began to form on the cloth. The picture of Mary was beautiful and the Bishop fell to his knees. He had the church built at her request.
The tilma is still intact after 470 years. The colors have not faded and the cloth has not deteriorated. It has been on display in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe for all this time
Memorare to Our Lady of Guadalupe
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary of Guadalupe, that in thy celestial apparitions on the mount of Tepeyac, thou didst promise to show thy compassion and pity towards all who, loving and trusting thee, seek thy help and call upon thee in their necessities and afflictions.
Thou didst promise to hearken to our supplications, to dry our tears and to give us consolation and relief. Never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, either for the common welfare, or in personal anxieties, was left unaided.
Inspired with this confidence, we fly unto thee, O Mary, ever Virgin Mother of the True God! Though grieving under the weight of our sins, we come to prostrate ourselves in thy august presence, certain that thou wilt deign to fulfill thy merciful promises. We are full of hope that, standing beneath thy shadow and protection, nothing will trouble or afflict us, nor need we fear illness, or misfortune, or any other sorrow.
Thou hast decided to remain with us through thy admirable image, thou who art our Mother, our health and our life. Placing ourselves beneath thy maternal gaze and having recourse to thee in all our necessities we need do nothing more. O Holy Mother of God, despise not our petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer us.
[Here mention your petition.]
Five Hail Mary's.
(In gratitude for the four apparitions to Juan Diego and the one to Juan Bernardino).
