Pope: How to pray like a saint

YOUR MERCIES ARE NEW -  New Every Morning - Audrey Assad

Pope Francis explains that you don't have to be a bishop, priest or religious to be a saint

***How We Can Become Saints***
A - The Centre and the source of the Catholic Faith --- Being Eucharistic centred - To love the Lord your God JESUS CHRIST really, truly substantially present - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity - the whole Person of Jesus in the Eucharist, above all else - Be Christocentric

B - The Blessed Virgin Mary - Marian devotion.

November 13 - Homily: St. Frances Cabrini quotes
  • 'When you're corrected, do not justify yourself, remain silent and practise virtue whether you are right or wrong, otherwise you may dream of perfection, but never attain it..........
  • "LOVE is not loved my daughters"
  •  "Renounce yourself entirely if you wish to enjoy peace"
  •  "She who is not holy, will make no one holy"
  • "I admit my weakness...I am afraid of the sea"...that sea which she crossed 30 times !
  • "If there is no very holy motive in view, I have no courage to go where I fear danger unless that by obedience, for then of course one's movements are blessed by God."

I felt the need to write and still update this post, after the moment when the words of the following PREFACE kept urging me to express God's love for everyone of us, regardless of our mistakes, for He can mould our past and present into His sanctifying grace for eternity !

It is truly right and just,
our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks,
Lord, holy Father,
almighty and eternal God.

For in the Saints who consecrated themselves to Christ
for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven,
it is right to celebrate the wonders of your providence,
by which you call human nature back to its original holiness
and bring it to experience on this earth
the gifts you promise in the new world to come.

And so, with all the Angels and Saints,
we praise you, as without end we acclaim:

Holy, Holy, Holy...

How to live Holiness according to St John Paul II

Pope to Catechumens: God searches for us, even when rejected and betrayed...

God creates man in His own image, and whoever He creates is holy: From the very beginning of conception, God forms us in sanctity...BUT we are born with the tendency to sin as we inherit the corrupting effects of Original Sin - Adam and Eve's sin of disobedience, pride and envy to God's omnipotent power (instigated by the luring of the devil) --  Effects that include a weakening of our will, a clouding of our intellect, and concupiscence (the tendency to indulge our desires rather than to subordinate them to the right operation of our reason) -- But at the celebration of the Sacrament of  Baptism all sins are forgiven, original sin and all personal sins, as well as all punishment for sin. In those who have been reborn nothing remains that would impede their entry into the Kingdom of God, neither Adam's sin, nor personal sin, nor the consequences of sin, the gravest of which is separation from God --  no:1263.

The Greatest Day

Confirmation is the sacrament that completes our bond with Christ and His Church - that’s what Pope Francis told tens of thousands of pilgrims gathered Wednesday 29th January 2014, for the weekly General Audience - Confirmation is “linked inseparably to Baptism.” These two sacraments, together with the Eucharist, the Holy Father said, “form a unique salvific event: Christian initiation” in which we become living members of the Church.

Through our anointing with the sacred chrism, Confirmation strengthens and “confirms” us in the grace of our Baptism, uniting “us more firmly to Christ.” Confirmation “completes our bond with the Church,” he noted, and “grants us a special strength of the Holy Spirit to spread and defend the faith, to confess the name of Christ and to never be ashamed of his cross.”

The working of the Holy Spirit in our lives, he noted, is reflected in the seven spiritual gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety and fear of the Lord.

As His children, God always welcomes us back to our original sainthood through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. God does not punish, we choose our place for Eternity - either Heaven or Hell. Our free will affects, not only ourselves, our lifestyle and all those who come into our life and our country but it also affect international circumstances - war or peace, famine or empathy; illicit laws - divorce, same sex marriage, abortion, euthanasia etc. or to abide to the Truth of the Holy Bible ! Even at times, the Church itself experiences damage and collapse both in its faith and morals. We must keep in mind that FREEDOM exists not to do what I like but having the right to do what I ought to do. --- Through God's guiding hand, we live our life with dignity, providing us with the courage for the need to seek spiritual, social and medical guidance.

God gives permission to Our Lady, Mother of God to give her full and untiring share into making people aware of the urgency for their conversion and consecration, through the messages in Her apparitions all over the world !

God speaks to us today and everyday through His inspired Word in the HOLY BIBLE: The TRUTH that reveals the devil's Illusion of self-centredness - filling you with thoughts that you are the most intelligent and the most beautiful / or the deception that you are worthless and the ugliest -  filling you with thoughts of self-pity and self-destruction. THE HOLY BIBLE keeps us sane in wisdom, serenity, simplicity, humility and much needed especially in difficult times ! Our communication with God through prayer and listening to Him in the silence, is fundamental to our spiritual growth: Our humility helps us become conscious of our nothingness without His guiding Light.

Let us never forget that God, the Holy Trinity, loves us so much that He does not want to see anyone deprived of His love and mercy :  From the beginning, He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden; He guided His people by the prophets He chose, even when His people abandoned Him. He humbled Himself in Jesus, His only Son, who became man through the YES of Mary, Our Blessed Mother.

In the Bible we read how Jesus empowers us against evil through His teachings and good example ...He, who endured humiliation and suffered a horrible death instead of us, for our own freedom from sin and for our reward in Heaven.

Jesus, Our Redeemer fitted His teachings - THE WAY TO CONQUER EVIL IS TO RENOUNCE ITS WEAPONS, to turn the other cheek, to be the suffering servant -  Jesus transformed the meaning of suffering into a work of redemption: He humiliated Himself yet again, being buried in the tomb ! But Jesus transformed death from a hole into a door, from an end into a beginning - He won over death and was risen, with all the glory. He founded for us the one, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church to sustain us by the Holy Trinity, through the blessed sacraments.

In the Holy Mass, in union with the priest, God celebrates with us , when Jesus still, yet again, humbles Himself in the Holy Eucharist so as to remain with us, in our blood and in our lives, to help us be able to conquer over our trials; for we are victorious only with Him.
Let us be conscious of His presence  in the HOLY EUCHARIST -  that we are present in front of  Jesus in Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of the HOLY TRINITY !

What love, what humbleness, what humility, what hidden omnipotence, what security, what help, what providence, what guidance, what healing, what mercy, what forgiveness He overflows on order that we fill our hearts only with closely, as much as possible as to when God created us !

<>< <>< <><

Wishing everyone of us a wonderful journey, with all the striving trials, back to sanctity - to our destination - Heaven, in the company of the Holy Trinity and Mary, Our spiritual Mother and intercessor, and all the saints and angels !!!
Canticle – Isaiah 42:10-16
God - Victor and Saviour

They were singing a new hymn before the throne of God (Revelation 14:3)..

Sing to the Lord a new song,
his praise from the end of the earth:
Let the sea and what fills it resound,
the coastlands, and those who dwell in them.
Let the steppe and its cities cry out,
the villages where Kedar dwells;
Let the inhabitants of Sela exult,
and shout from the top of the mountains.
Let them give glory to the Lord,
and utter his praise in the coastlands.
The Lord goes forth like a hero,
like a warrior he stirs up his ardor;
he shouts out his battle cry,
against his enemies he shows his might:
I have looked away, and kept silence,
I have said nothing, holding myself in;
but now, I cry out as a woman in labour,
gasping and panting.
I will lay waste mountains and hills,
all their herbage I will dry up;
I will turn the rivers into marshes,
and the marshes I will dry up.
I will lead the blind on their journey;
by paths unknown I will guide them.
I will turn darkness into light before them,
and make crooked ways straight.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
as it was in the beginning, is now, and will be for ever. Amen.
